About this site
Rural Well Being is a health and wellbeing information service for the people of rural Wales. The website aims to provide good quality, reliable information on a range of health and wellbeing issues, and to signpost people to organisations and health services in their area that may be able to provide additional information or assistance.
The original website, launched in 2001, was jointly created by the Powys & Ceredigion Health Promotion Unit and the Institute of Rural Health, following the provision of match funding from the European-funded Llwybr:Pathway Initiative.
In 2004, the Institute of Rural Health updated the website and contacts database. The updating of the website was funded by the Rural Stress Grant Scheme (Wales Council for Voluntary Action). This new site was launched in 2005.
