Worried?

Perhaps you are concerned that another family member or a friend is using drugs. Unfortunately, there is no clear-cut list of telltale signs that somebody is using drugs. Although not definite proof of drug taking, some things to look out for are:

  • small quantities of unusual tablets, capsules, powders or liquids
  • small stickers or transfers
  • burnt/discoloured spoons or tin foil
  • syringes or needles
  • cigarette papers, cigarette ends made from card, shredded cigarettes, lighters
  • pipes
  • butane gas canisters
  • small paper wraps or pieces of folded plastic
  • small bottles

See the drug fact files for more information about specific substances.
